Value Stream Manager (m/w/d)

The Value Stream Manager’s (VSM) accountability ensures meeting all milestones across the entire product lifecycle for both new product development and existing civil helicopter seating products.

Responsibilities include strategic planning, alignment of customer demands with sales, product development with engineering, both start of series and manufacturing with supply chain and production as well as ensuring financial targets.

In this position, you will report directly to our Managing Director and be a part of the international Value Stream network.

 

Accountability:

  • Ensures and customizes existing Collins Management System (CMS) process and according gates.
  • Supports program pursuits incl. identification of key product requirements with business development and engineering.
  • Ensures development milestone achievements with engineering.
  • Ensures successful transition of new products into the manufacturing environment with Supply Cain and Production.
  • Ensures the execution of all program related milestones and applies risk and opportunity management to ensure all financial targets are accurately forecasted and met via EVM.
  • Supports preparation of the site development plan (SDP), strategic & financial plan (SFP) and annual operating plan (AOP).
  • Develops and deploys product and service policy (PSP).
  • Identifies opportunities and deploys to maximize communality and profitability.
  • Prepares and leads customer, program and product reviews.
  • Min MBA / Engineering
  • Several years of professional experience in consulting, project/program management or comparable PMO function
  • Solid experience in leading teams, certification in project management (e.g. PMI)
  • Experience in lean management and continuous improvement process
  • Entrepreneurial, analytical and structured way of working
  • Intercultural competence and persuasiveness
  • Conflict and problem solving skills and strong communication skills in German and English

 

Knowledge, Skills & Qualifications:

  • Min MBA / Engineering
  • Several years of professional experience in consulting, project/program management or comparable PMO function
  • Solid experience in leading teams, certification in project management (e.g. PMI)
  • Experience in lean management and continuous improvement process
