The Real Estate Manager is responsible for the successful development of the Starbucks brand in Germany and  potentially provides shared services to other brands of AmRest. The role is primarily in charge of creating a strong and sustainable pipeline of great locations for further growth in the market. It is a key player in the execution of AmRest strategy to expand rapidly and successfully. It holds the direct relation with Landlords, developers and brokers as well as if needed municipalities and government representatives in regards to necessary permits or similar topics.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Adhering and executing the brand growth strategy for the market
  • Potentially acts for several brands in the market to reflect the multibrand approach  of AmRest
  • Finding, developing , presenting and executing new sites for brand growth.
  • Negotiating new leases and potentially renewals, relocations, closures etc.
  • Collaborating with estate management team in Germany, in regards to lease management and potential red flags in the estate – reaching out to the Real estate leadership for guidance and decision making
  • Works very closely with marketplanning, construction and operations
  • Creating CAPEX approval packages and site analytics for proposed locations 
  • Cold acquisition by directly getting in touch with landlords and developers, regardless the broker offerings
  • Reviewing and administrating site offers
  • Corresponding with brokers, landlords etc.
  • Holding a close contact to the other development functions (construction, facilities, marketplanning)
  • Representing the market in the CAPEX and Site Review meetings to provide clarity,  background information and answers  potential questions from the senior leadership
  • Creating real estate and development relevant presentations

Voraussetzungen

Experience Required

  • Experience in development of retail real estate. Multi-unit organization would be of advantage
  • at least 5 years experience in real estate either landlord, acquisition, developer and/or broker
  • Deep knowledge and understanding  of the German Real estate market
  • Good network to developers, landlords and/or municipalities
  • Ability to communicate clearly and comprehensively, spoken and written in German & English
  • Communicative, absolute reliable and trustworthy 
  • endurant, able to work under pressure and stress – used to targets and clear objectives
  • Capable of working and performing in a highly commited team
  • MS-Office knowledge,in particular strong exel and powerpoint user knowledge
  • Ready to travel /  drivers license required
