Job Description

Ascending Technologies is the core part of the drone business unit at Intel and develops and manufactures unmanned aircraft systems (UAS). Our UAS technology is used in drones for professional and research applications, consumer drones and novel innovative aircraft. The Ascending Technologies team provides unique UAS expertise and achieves pioneer work in sensor data processing and flight control, UAV design and market development to set trends with leading aircraft solutions. Ascending Technologies is looking for passionate employees to proactively support the development of next generation platforms. This role is located in Munich – Krailling.

 

We currently have an opportunity for a Quality & Reliability Engineer to help us drive continues improvement on design and production process for drones.

 

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing, applying, and maintaining quality and reliability standards for processing materials into partially finished or finished product.
  • Evaluating the materials, process and techniques used in production to meet the requirement of products and production equipment.
  • Specifying inspection and testing mechanism, conduct quality assessment up to and including audits and perform statistical analysis to determine the responsibility for products and systems that do not meet required specifications.
  • Delivering standardization in product qualification, manufacturing quality systems and methods. Providing feedback to BU, TD and/or partner engineering group on design or method and statistical process control procedures including manufacturing systems in HVM.
  • Determining reliability requirements and automated screening methodologies of components and systems to achieve company, customer and any governmental agency reliability objectives.
  • Developing new acceleration techniques, analytical tools and quality screens to assure the early identification of potential problems with new products, packaging, processes, and product quality/reliability.
  • Responding to customer requests or events as they occur and making recommendations for changes in design or formulation to improve system and/or process/product reliability.

Voraussetzungen

Qualifications


We are looking for a candidate that is able to have a deep understanding for our products and the required processes. 

Ideally, you offer the following:

  •  M.Sc. in Engineering with minimum 5 years’ experience or B.Sc. in Engineering with 8 years’ experience
  •  Experience in drone or equivalent complexity products with a proven track record of product launches
  •  Fluent in English and German 

Strongly desired skills:

  •  Flexible, dynamic thinker with hands-on mentality 
  •  Demonstrated ability to manage projects within matrix organizations.
  •  Effective communication skills - both written and verbal. 
  •  Evidence of ability to manage upward with crisp summary communication. 
  •  Strong partnership with peers to get the information needed for project updates.
