Automotive SW Dev Team Lead

Job Description

  • The Software Team Lead on the Automated Driving team will design and develop software for next generation automated driving systems. They are the technical implementation/execution lead for the entire product software.
  • The position will include design and implementation of embedded software. Candidates for consideration will be responsible for supporting research and developmental efforts in automated vehicle technologies ranging from Advanced Driver Assistance Systems ADAS to semi- and fully-autonomous driving capabilities.
  • Responsibilities include but not limited to:
  • Primary author of SOWs for externally contracted development.
  • They have a deep technical understanding of the software, resource planning, software estimation, and will make recommendations and decisions on software implementation, execution, build planning.
  • They will work closely and advise the SW IXT, the PLM, and the SW Engineers for release planning and software execution.
  • They will work with other organizations across Intel to organize and facilitate implementation/execution of software.
  • They are responsible for ensuring creation, completeness, and correctness of documents such as SW HL/LL design documents, SW Reference Manuals, API reference manuals, Requirements traceability.
  • They will work with the SW Architect to ensure correct SW design and implementation, and when allocating requirements to a particular release, they ensure a coherent set of functionality is delivered in each build.
  • Train, mentor, and role model software engineering excellence to other software development team members.
  • Design and develop state-of-the-art computing platforms for next generation automated driving systems.
  • System Modelling of complete AD systems and subsystems.
  • Development of middleware components for highly efficient embedded systems.
  • Full lifecycle development of high performance embedded computing systems for sensor processing applications including security and safety aspects.

Voraussetzungen

Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field plus 6 years of work experience.
  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field plus 4 years of related work experience.
  • PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field plus 2 years of related work experience.
  • Excellent skills in C++ and standard libraries e.g. STL, OpenCL, Boost.
  • Experience developing software for Linux.
  • Advanced English communication skills, both written & verbal


Preferred Qualifications:-

  • Master's degree or PhD in Electrical or Computer Engineering or similar field of study.
  • Familiarity with ADAS or AD.
  • Experience with Functional Safety.
  • Experience with embedded RTOS.
  • Experiences with machine learning systems.
  • Experience in image processing, computer vision, OpenCV.
  • Experiences with Robot Operating System ROS.
  • Software/firmware development in one or more languages/platforms/libraries C/C++, VHDL/Verilog, MATLAB, CUDA, OpenCL.
  • Familiarity with sensor modalities used in robotics and automated driving applications Camera/Vision, RADAR, LIDAR, INS/IMU.
  • Familiarity with commonly used apporaches for autonomous systems sensor data processing, data fusion, scene analytics, scene interpretation, behavior prediction, trajectory planning, etc.
  • Working Knowledge of Linux in embedded applications.
  • Experiences in system modelling UML, SysML and automated code generation.
  • Experiences with Eclipse and Yocto.
  • Experiences with ADTF and ROS.
